My family is looking into opening a small, "mom & pop" type mini-mart.  Today I read in a blog that gas station/mini-mart robberies are becoming much more commonplace which almost exclusively involves drug addicts in Vermont.  Anyone have any thoughts?

That's just dumb. Huge crime wave of 3 robberies in a whole year. Ok, maybe 4. Crime in VT is not that of other states. People still leave there home and car doors unlocked here.

Ya there really isnt much crime here in Vermont. The thing I would worry about is why kids think its cool to be junkies in Vermont. I have traveled the country never have I been to a place where people thought it was cool to be a junkie.

There is crime everywhere, obviously in areas of smaller concentration there is vastly less crime....FACT!

Listen there isnt that much crime here. If I worked in a store in Vermont and someone tried to come in and rob me. I would beat there ass. That would piss them off even more. Most of the people who would prolly try something like this are a 100 lb junkie. Run around the side of the counter give them one in the nose. Then call the police. Then they get to go to jail without the luxary of having enjoyed there stolen money on drugs.
